What are you going to do?
Facility Management (FM) is there to create the optimal work environment for Nutreco Netherlands. Creating and supporting a flexible work environment (office, home or elsewhere), that aligns with the (rapidly changing) demands and needs of the Nutreco organisation. Based on integral criteria efficiency, quality and flexibility. Structured in a way that makes changes possible, in growth or decrease, in change in demands of support (online, physical).
The Facility Manager is responsible for direction and execution of the FM department. The Facility Manager reports directly to the CHRO.
In order to create and support the optimal work environment, the Facility Manager is responsible for the right supply of a wide range of facility management and hard - soft services (building and maintenance, safety & security, cleaning, catering, office supplies, landscaping, reception and building services, event management) and the management of these services (contracts, suppliers, budget and – control, data management, reporting, systems.
As FM is organised as a ‘regie-organisatie’, there is a small internal steering team (4 persons). The tactical and operational part of FM is provided by external contract partners. FM works as one team with the contract partners. Furthermore there is a close collaboration and a developing joint customer approach with HR, IT, HSE, Procurement, Corporate Communication.
The Facility Manager is responsible for the global Head Office in Amersfoort (ca 300 employees) and the office / laboratory in Boxmeer (ca 300 employees). As Nutreco is an international, global company we expect you to be able to communicate in English as well as in Dutch.
In the last 3 years structuring and professionalising of the FM department has been key focus. The challenges now and for the coming years are continuous improvement of the current organisation and aligning with the Nutreco strategy. New developments are structuring and implementing the technical organisation, compliancy with applicable laws and legislation, set up HSE organisation for the offices. Specifically technical maintenance, compliance with NEN 3140, changing real estate policy are focus points. Challenges for the Facility Manager are further more being part of the Vitality program organisation for Nutreco NL and expanding services to other (factory-office) locations in the Netherlands.
What are your key accountabilities?
Strategy; mission and vision, aligning with changing demands in Nutreco global and local organisation;
Budget/budget control; two large office locations Amersfoort and Boxmeer in responsible scope;
Structure and organise; internal team and external team of suppliers and contractors;
Planning; road map, year plans and rolling forecast;
Program and project management; changing set up of projects like developing flexible work concept, vitality program, technical maintenance organisation, HSE and safety organisation;
Steering with a hands on mentality in tactical and operational scope; part of the team.

What we ask
As our Facility Manager, your core responsibility is to translate the needs of more than 600 people into the facility management strategy. Now for two offices, but later on expending to three or even more. So therefore you have a strategic and tactical mindset with a helicopter view. Due to the practical culture within Nutreco, you know how to translate opportunities into concrete output and motivate your team and contractors to do the same. To do so, you are able to adapt to different levels, have excellent communication skills and always keep a clear picture of the stakeholders you need to get- and keep on board.
What you bring
A Bachelor- or Master Degree, preferably within Facility Management;
At least 7 years experience as a manager within facility management, preferably within a demand-supply structured organisation;
Be able to travel within different locations in the Netherlands;
Fluent in Dutch and English (writing and speaking skills).
