Global Feed Additives Monogastrics Lead

The Global Feed Additives (FA) department is responsible for the strategy, marketing, technical support and product development of Nutreco’s feed additives business. The Global FA team focuses on growing sales profit and volumes in the area of Animal Health & Performance as well as Feed/Food Safety & Quality.
The Global FA Monogastrics Lead will focus on developing and commercializing total value propositions based on the feed additives in the portfolio towards poultry & swine. (S)he will work closely together with different stakeholders from the Global Innovation department in order to extend and deepen the value proposition as much as possible for our target clients. In addition, (s)he will be involved in strategic projects and upcoming M&A and joint ventures related to monogastrics to extend our FA portfolio.
In this role you will lead a team of Global Program Managers and Global Product Managers.
What are your key accountabilities?
In your role as Global FA Monogastrics Lead, you fulfill three responsibility areas:
Business Performance Development
Grow the Feed Additives business - market shares, volume and profitability; as a critical part of the total Nutreco customer value proposition;
Define commercial strategies for monogastrics to achieve agreed sales, margin and market share objectives aligned with Operating Company (OpCo) feed additive country plans and Commercial Excellence program KPIs;
Detail and implement the strategy to grow the business, including channel management and supporting the regional commercial and technical teams, whilst working with the OpCo''s to enhance their commercial capability;
Marketing & Technical
Lead the development and execution of the monogastric FA market plan within each OpCo and regionally;
Responsible for the portfolio management of the organic acid based products aimed at monogastrics;
Define together with the FA OpCo representative the product positioning and priorities for each country;
Ensure in depth intelligence of markets and related customer needs, trends and competitor data and develop marketing, product and channel strategies (marketing plans) for your product portfolio;
Steer, coordinate and participate in events/training of staff and customers by transfer of knowledge within and outside the organization, amongst others through training sessions, (customer) seminars, webinars, mailings and conferences;
Manage and oversee the launch of new products and services as well as contribute to global product management;
Develop marketing communication plans, in line with developed marketing strategies for your species and product portfolio.
People & Organisation
Hire, manage and motivate a team of senior technical & commercial specialists to achieve business results according to the agreed plans and budgets;
Provide leadership to the FA teams of commercial and technical managers in the OpCo’s. Recruitment and performance management of people and teams is done in cooperation with OpCo GM’s, on an equal votes basis;
Ensure a highly effective collaboration with all OpCo General Managers and FA representatives, other team leads of the Global FA team and all related departments, working in a ‘matrix organisation’ while applying a mindset and approach based on ‘challenge and support‘;
Support the development of the required technical and business structure for business expansion aligned with the FA and Nutreco financial and strategic goals.
Ensure continuous improvement of Commercial Excellence skills of Feed Additives and Technical teams.

What we ask
As a Global FA Monogastrics Lead, you are an inspirational leader with a strong strategic mindset and demonstrated experience in global teams. You know the Feed Additives market very well and have a broad network.
What you bring
Master’s degree in veterinary science, animal nutrition, animal production or animal health. Demonstrable knowledge of animal health and specific on gut health for monogastrics;
Minimum of 10 years of experience in an animal nutrition or feed additives company in a commercial/business role;
Experience in a global/international company;
Demonstrable experience in leading teams;
Strategic thinker and strong business mindset;
Proven ability to inspire people and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment;
Fluent in English (writing and speaking); knowledge of other languages is a plus;
Can undertake international travel up to 20-30% of working time;
