Our sales teams are growing and we're looking for an outgoing passionate individual to round out our Dealer Sales team. As a Dealer Sales Representative, you will assist with creating and supporting new opportunities for existing dealers as well as actively engage potential dealers. In addition, you will work directly with administration, customer service, logistics and production staff internally, to ensure the delivery of feed is timely and accurate. You will help create and communicate marketing initiatives, sales strategies and pricing programs to dealers and Trouw Nutrition Canada / Hi-Pro Feeds / Shur-Gain.
DUTIES:
- Responsible for increasing market share and volume of bagged feed with our existing and identifying potential Dealers in BC.
- Travel to Dealer locations throughout BC for regular in-person contact to build and maintain relationships.
- Analyzing sales reports, implementing sales strategies, and conducting product training with Dealers.
- Troubleshooting challenges and managing accounts receivable.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager, BC in a strategic selling approach.
- Attend industry functions that will be of value to the position and Dealers.
- Network within the industry to ensure complete knowledge of industry activities and trends affecting our Dealers.
- Support all marketing initiatives to enhance the company’s profile within the industry.
- Focus on maintaining a persistent and diligent value added sales strategy.
- Be knowledgeable about the product and answer any questions.
- Identify prospective Dealers, make contact, and discuss needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A post-secondary education is an asset, but not required.
- Experience in customer service, retail sales and/or in agriculture is preferred and considered strong assets.
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- An aptitude for and an interest in business development.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Customer focused, action oriented, resourceful, engaging, innovative, adaptive, committed, has integrity.
- Ability to travel and a valid drivers’ license is required and considered a condition of employment for this role.
