Retail Sales Associate

IMMEDIATE HIRING – Trouw Nutrition is hiring a part-time (20 hours a week) Retail Sales Associate for the Chilliwack Mill Store.

What we offer: $19/hour

REQUIREMENTS:
•    Post-Secondary or equivalent
•    English Written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong problem-solving skills, collaborative and communication skills
•    Proficiency in cash handling, MS Office, and other computer applications
•    2-3 years experience in a mill, warehouse, greenhouse, or farm preferred
•    Pesticide dispensing certificate preferred

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
•    Casual, Part-time, (Saturdays are mandatory), shifts vary from 7AM - 5:30 PM

GOOD TO KNOW
•    Training on the job
•    Some physical effort is required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs on regular basis

and ability to stand for long periods of time
•    Veterinary dispensing certificate will be provided

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We count on you to bring a professional and positive attitude and a passion for excellent customer service as you: 
•    Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper regula

tory documentation for food and chemical safety, and follow quality standards
•    Follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
•    Process customer orders with respective vendors
•    Move received inventory to appropriate store areas, front product daily and

general housekeeping duties
•    Educate customers on the differing merits of products to best find one

suited to their needs
•    Animal health and/or horticultural knowledge required

REQUIRED TICKETS
•    Veterinary dispensing certificate will be provided, and Pesticide dispensing certificate preferred
