Trouw Nutrition-Companion Animal US Operations Team is leading most pet food manufacturers and premix suppliers by providing End-2-End Customer Supply Chain Planning, Warehousing, Outbound Logistics and a trusted liaison working on behalf of Companion Animal Global Key Accounts. We are seeking a cross-functional, problem-solving Supply Chain Manager in Highland, IL.

What does it take to do this job?
Demand Planning
- Establish the Demand Planning cycles and collaborate internal with Sales, Marketing and Formulation teams. Drive high forecast accuracy and low bias with customers
- Balance Demand and Supply in the most optimal way: Service, Inventory, Margin, Profit to targets
Logistics, Transport and Warehousing
- Manage Nutreco Trouw Nutrition-Companion Animal and 3rd party warehouses, ensuring safe and healthy environments, enabling On Time Delivery to customers
- Collaborate with Trouw Logistics buyers and Transportation companies, establishing partnerships that develop profitable business opportunities. Securing the highest level of compliance, quality and efficiency on Transport
- Coordinating logistic set-up, manage transport planning with Trucking and Shipping companies, invoicing, credit notes and export documentation, etc.
- Drive continuous improvement with Logistics Service Providers, implement Route to Market strategy, while partnering with the Logistics team
Integrated Business Planning
- Establish the Nutreco Planning and IBP processes for Opco, region or BU. Maintain the continuous improvement of a mature IBP process and cycle in partnership with Procurement and Formulation teams
- Drive the execution of the IBP process according Nutreco standards, support and facilitate the financial forecasting process
Inventory and working capital management
- Manage the finished goods inventory stock end-2-end processes, ensuring inventory reflects the projected demand and optimizes working capital to align with agreed targets
KPI’s
- Determine KPI targets and ensure realization of performance: Cost, Quality and Performance of the Supply Chain
Leadership
- Build and lead a curious, effective Supply Chain Team of 4-6
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Identify, benchmark and implement Supply Chain best practices. Deliver operational improvements through the development of Control Systems with all teams
Quality / HSE Compliance
- Ensure all activities and operations are executed and align with HSE/Quality rules, regulations, procedures, instructions and guidelines
What do I need to be successful in the position?
- Minimum of 4-6 years of Supply Chain Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or equivalent experience
- Change Management and people leader skills (Cultural Sensitivity, Emotional Intelligence and Interpersonal skills)
- Communicate business acumen with effective oral and written influence
- Experienced user MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Professional communicator, written and oral
- Domestic travel 10%
- Managing multiple responsibilities with prioritization
- Exceptional attention to detail and effective organizational skills
