Trouw Nutrition is hiring… we’re looking to add a Total Rewards Specialist to join our HR Services team in Puslinch, ON.

Your mission is to enrich the employee journey, making it a seamless blend of support and success.
A DAY IN THE LIFE…
Reporting to the HR Services Manager, North America, you will manage the sourcing and delivery of Employee Health Benefits, & Compensation Programs, knows in detail the applicable laws and/or regulations and has sufficient experience in Canadian and US projects and knows how to fulfil the demand of various stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will include:
Capability Management
· Coordinate with 3rd parties for project execution.
· Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements for North American Total Rewards.
Policy and process ownership
· Support regional HR Team in deploying reward policy and processes.
· Collaborate with HR Technology and HR Services for effective execution.
· Provide training on regional/global policy and processes.
· Support evaluation of policy/process changes.
Change Management
· Address stakeholder expectations and feedback.
· Lead implementation evaluation for lessons learned.
Benefits/Wellness:
· Design and oversee benefit plans (health, dental, retirement, and others) in North America.
· Ensure compliance and audits for benefit programs (Pension/401k audits, Global & Local Bonus programs and others)
· Support the global/regional merit process of salary updates as required for Canada and U.S.
· Support and provide consultation to the HR Business Partner organization for company-wide wellness communications, promote wellness themes and initiatives.
· Manage the regional employee and Family Assistance Program(s) (EFAP).
· Oversee Pension Plan(s) administration.
Compensation:
· Play a key role in compensation review ensuring appropriate consultation, documentation, analysis, costing, and approvals are completed.
· Assist with the job evaluation process, including conducting job audits and reviewing the HAY grading process, ensuring pay equity compliance.
· Participates in compensation surveys, bench marking and help analyze for internal equity, market competitiveness and ability to attract and retain top talent.
· Assists with the annual compensation and salary merit review process.
PREFERED HIRING CRITERIA:
· Minimum of 5 years' Canadian and US compensation and benefits experience, ideally in a multi-provincial/state context.
· Post-secondary education in a HR related field i.e., Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS/CBP/GBA/RPA), Compensation Specialist (CCP);
· Proven expertise in managing RFP responses, program enhancements, and new Total Rewards initiatives.
· In-depth knowledge of the provincial/state benefit/compensation legislation, their practices and procedures and Employment Standards across Canada and the US;
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
