The Costing Analyst will work within the Costing team to provide financial and operational support for Trouw Nutrition Canada’s West region. This position could be based in Winnipeg, MB.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain costing module in the ERP system for all animal feed plants in the West Region
Work with multi-departmental team to update costs weekly and for new or revised individual items daily
On a monthly basis, prepare and distribute monthly variance reports for purchase price, spending, volume, usage etc., monthly manufacturing cost summaries, monthly efficiency variance analysis
Respond to departmental costing queries and correct, or direct to appropriate party
Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations
Participate and/or lead costing calls

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

Actively pursuing CPA certification and/or degree in business or have business analyst experience
Experience in agriculture or food industry is a real asset
Proficiency with MS Office especially with Excel, AND experience in an ERP environment
Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment but also able to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated organizational skills, including ability to prioritize duties and meet deadlines
