Job Description
What we are looking for:
- Know-How, required knowledge / education and experience: Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineer. Masters degree is prefered.
- High level of technical knowledge in manufacturing plants and facilities maintenance, preferably in the alimentary industry.
- Experience leading high performance maintenance teams in large sized production and warehousing facilities.
- English proficiencies
What the position is about
Maintenance management:
o Manages the maintenance contracts for the utilities services: boilers, compressed air equipment and dryers, reverse osmosis plants, electrical generators, high voltage electrical substation, fire fighting systems.
o Manages contracts and supervision of civil, electrical and mechanical works to warehouses, administration offices, roofs, docks and others.
o Manages forklift maintenance personnel and manage forklift rental contract.
o Prepares / prioritizes maintenance activities with regard to malfunctions, maintenance, repairs and modifications, in such a way that the work can be performed in an efficient and safe manner and the production department(s) encounter minimal nuisance and / or stagnation.
o Assist in setting, re-setting and adjusting production and packaging equipment of complex product and format transitions, so that production can proceed undisturbed.
o Assesses the nature of the maintenance, and study of the drawings and manuals, ensures the availability of necessary materials, parts and tools and ensures the planning of the execution with relevant departments
o Manages all technical maintenance and repair work to be performed by the employees of the maintenance department, plans the work, providing assignments and tasks, and arranging the activities. Instructs on methods and procedures and ensures the necessary safety measures are taken, so that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time.
o Supervises external technicians, providing assignments, checking safeguards and evaluation of the work performed
o Monitors the execution in qualitative and quantitative terms, checking the progress and evaluating the results. Resolves difficulties.
Troubleshooting:
o Troubleshoots any mechanical, electrical and technical control of production equipment, utility equipment, and refrigerating systems and in offices and warehouses, through received messages, such that the work in terms of technology and safety can be resumed and any stagnation is limited to a minimum.
o Locates the cause of the disturbance, determines whether mechanics of third parties must be hired, assesses the nature and extent of faults and determines whether immediate repair is necessary and possible. If needed ensures immediate (emergency) repairs are executed
Preventive / planned maintenance:
o Prepares preventive maintenance schedules and carries out inspections in the context of preventive and corrective maintenance / overhaul, so that the technical underperforming conditions are timely identified and corrective actions can be taken
o Assesses the state of maintenance and reports of serious findings to the production management; directly repairs (impending) defects if possible
o Ensures the planning and execution of corrective maintenance arising from the inspections, at scheduled times
Continuous improvement:
o Researches, evaluates, and recommends new equipment, tools and processes in maintenance and production in order to enhance the capabilities of production and / or maintenance.
o Monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimise resources, prioritise spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
o Roll out best practices of Maintenance (TPM, AM, PM, …)
Compliance:
o Ensures compliance with all operating, safety, quality, risk and health regulations.
o Manages spare parts compliance and inventory levels and management and consumptions.
o Monitors working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees working in the area (incl. some key procedures linked with
ATEX, Work at height, LOTO and Confined space, Work Permits etc…)
