Technical Sales Advisor Senegal
Job Description
Nutreco is a part of the SHV family of companies whose purpose is the courage to care for generations to come. Our solutions go beyond nutrition – we provide best-in-class advice and technology to help our customers produce more sustainable food to feed the world's growing population. Feeding the Future goes beyond a purpose – it’s our passion, and we are dedicated to working across the value chain to make it happen. In Africa, Nutreco's main activities are the sale of fish feed (Skretting brand) as well as premixes, feed additives, concentrates and special diets for animals (Trouw Nutrition brand). In addition to European exports, a rapidly growing proportion of products are produced locally in African countries, including Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya.
Are you an autonomous technical sales specialist with an existing network in the animal sector? Are you fluent in French, speak English and ready for the next step in an international company? Nutreco is looking for you! In support of our activities in sub-Saharan Africa, we are looking to strengthen our team with a Technical Sales Advisor. Trouw Nutrition prides itself on providing a high level of service to its customers, farms and consumers. You will be part of a team of highly motivated and close-knit professionals driving the animal nutrition industry forward. You will become a valuable asset to our local and international teams.
Job Description:
- Develop and support sales of Trouw Nutrition's entire portfolio of products and services for all animal species (especially poultry, pork and dairy products);
- Maximize support for distributors and end customers (mills, FAFER and farmers);
- Organize animate seminars and farm visits;
- Gain insight into customer needs, competitors and market trends and developments;
- Support existing and new businesses
- Support the annual budget cycle and sales plans;
- Create and track orders, including active credit control;
- Organize and execute technical, marketing, administrative and sales support and training.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial environment;
- Existing network preferably in the livestock sector in Africa;
- Excellent sales/technical/communication skills;
- Ability to work independently without close supervision;
- Fluent in French & English and comfortable working in dynamic teams.
- You will be largely independent. You will have clearly defined tasks that will allow you to define for yourself how best to achieve your goals. Your tasks will be divided into both technical and commercial objectives. It will therefore be important for you to find the right balance between commercial objectives and technical input. Over time, you will develop a close relationship with your customers, a source of both commercial success and personal fulfillment.
Note: The position is home-based and requires travel within the country and some overseas travel for training purposes. Our head office is in Boxmeer, the Netherlands, where our marketing/technical/logistics teams are located.
Global Benefits:
- A full-time position in an international, dynamic environment.
- Competitive remuneration package
- Opportunities for professional growth within Nutreco and the broader SHV group.
