IT Operations & Support Lead

Job Description

The IT Operations and Support Lead reports to the Business IT Manager Asia with functional oversite from the Business Improvement Manager to ensure delivery of reliable and stable IT infrastructure and software (including the ERP) platforms in partnership with Nutreco Global IT.

Working together with Opco/BU stakeholders, this role is the first point of contact for IT matters locally, maintaining and supporting all local business applications and being the project lead for IT related projects.

The role supports the execution of the Business IT strategy and 8Q Roadmap and interacts frequently and collaborate with colleagues in the business, GITS, NCC, Corporate IT and with all IT-suppliers.

Key accountabilities for this position includes:

Site IT Accountabilities: 

  • Local IT Infrastructure tasks not in scope of GITS (i.e. local asset management, phones, local contact for printer, switches, router maintenance / replacement on site, aid in remote user issues, document problem resolutions, assist GITS/NCC in software deployment, coordinate purchasing/receiving of new computer hardware and software as well as creating Capex requests). 
  • Support and coordinate onboarding and offboarding of new employees. 
  • Assist in any required network diagnostic and upgrade(s) for the site(s). 
  • Ensures the data backup schedule is respected. 
  • Deployment of the Nutreco IT Policy. 
  • Manage op-ex procedures and key controls locally. 
  • Deploy Risk Management according to policy. 
  • Participate in ad-hoc and scheduled out of hours IT activities as required.

Application Accountabilities: 

  • Provide application support and execute application maintenance for the local business applications, including application access control, updates, integrations, and global IT or vendor liaison. 
  • Create, co-ordinate and execute application user acceptance testing in line with corporate requirements. 
  • Complete systems modifications, systems tests/audits on new and modified applications and assess system performance to ensure quality assurance as well as post implementation reviews. 
  • Collaborate and operationally manage external suppliers for support and maintenance of local business applications. 

Program & Project Management: 

  • Initiate new innovations and project proposals based on local requirements  
  • Manage local IT-related projects according to Nutreco standards and processes 
  • Contribute and execute local IT program 

Planning & Budget Control:

  • Contribute to Skretting Australia’s strategy and budget cycle
  • Contribute to and implementation of Business Improvement, IT Strategy and the 8Q Roadmap

Environment/IT Systems: 

  • Actively participates in the GITS / Unisys / Business IT triangle meetings. Travelling to the plants and other locations (if applicable) for any issues. 
  • Manage and lead local incident and change request support queues, meeting specific response times and deadlines. 
  • Participate in the development and execution of system implementation plans and solutions.
  • Work with technology teams and business unit as an in-house consultant and be prepared to lead or participate in broader initiatives spanning all areas of Information Systems.
  • Interaction with all levels of the business community as well as all levels of the IT organization. 
  • Own IT continuous improvement initiatives identified, and contribute to the IT requirements and delivery of CI initiatives across business units.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Contribute and execute IT strategy in accordance with the 8Q roadmap
  • Maintain an efficient and productive infrastructure and desktop environment aligned with global IT standards
  • Identification and management of IT risk
  • IT projects scoped and delivered in line with business requirements
  • Complete and annually review compliance documentation, risk assessments, SOP’s and test the IT disaster recovery plan.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration within Skretting Australia and where required at Divisional and Nutreco level
  • Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) compliance
  • Contribute to the delivery of divisional performance targets and objectives including safety and quality

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree/Diploma of Information Technology and/or 5+ years previous experience in an IT environment in an operational role
  • 5+ years’ experience in a project delivery capacity ideally in a global corporate environment
  • Highly effective communication both written and verbal
  • Highly effective collaborator with the ability to connect, facilitate and grow local and global IT team collaboration
  • Current Drivers License
