The Warehouse Specialist controls, coordinates, and executes warehousing operations and ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the defined internal storage and distribution standards, in the best conditions of safety, quality and time.
About The Role
Responsibilities:
• Coordination and relationships: Manage relationships with warehouses and suppliers, acting as a link between production, storage, transportation, and customer service to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Operations and storage processes: Oversee and support storage operations, including goods reception, placement, dispatch, inventory, picking, and packing, ensuring inventory accuracy, product rotation, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
• KPI and reporting: Monitor defined KPIs, analyze deviations, and prepare periodic reports to enable data-driven decision-making with reliable and updated information.
• Improvements and efficiency: Identify opportunities to optimize storage methods, processes, and tools, implementing efficient models to ensure profitability and quality.
• Technology and systems: Participate in projects involving digital tools (WMS, shelving systems, etc.), ensuring proper management and use in warehouses.
• Budget and cost control: Support the preparation and monitoring of the storage budget, controlling costs and proposing corrective actions for deviations.
• Projects and warehouse network: Assist in improvement projects (e-commerce, footprint, etc.) and evaluate the warehouse network to optimize outbound goods and transport coordination.
• Communication and teamwork: Promote collaboration with different departments to ensure smooth and effective communication.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehousing. Excellent knowledge of storage processes.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on objectives and KPIs.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure responsibilities are executed according to plan.
• Experience dealing with 3PLs and warehousing companies: rates, activity integration.
• Native Spanish speaker and fluent in English.
• Availability to travel in Spain and Portugal (20% of the time).
