Job Description

Are you passionate about advancing the understanding of nutritional requirements and contributing to sustainable aquaculture practices? Skretting Aquaculture Innovation (AI) is currently looking for a Researcher in Aquaculture Nutrition to join our Shrimp and Warm Water Species team.

In this role you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to optimize shrimp nutrition for our global aquafeed operations. Your role involves planning and executing research studies related to shrimp nutrition, addressing challenges in nutritional formulations, and supporting new product development.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute research studies focused on shrimp nutrition. 

  • Investigate and address challenges in nutritional formulations, supporting new product development. 

  • Provide technical support on nutritional questions to our operating companies. 

  • Project Management: Manage collaborative projects with internal and external partners. 

  • Communicate results and findings to key stakeholders and assist in the implementation of innovations. 

  • Play a key part in the evolution of aquafeeds. 

What we ask and what you bring

  • PhD in a field related to aquaculture or animal nutrition, or equivalent work experience in these fields.

  • Experience with shrimp nutrition and aqua feed formulation are an advantage but not a requirement.

  • Competence in scientific research principles, experimental design, and proficiency in statistics.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders, internal and external.

  • Fluency in English.
