About the job

In this role you will be responsible for the sales of our specialized portfolio of nutritional animal health products and supporting its pre-sales and marketing activities from conceptual stages to final application. You will be part of the ‘Poultry Team Benelux’ within the ECA cluster and herein support to realize both our B2F, but also B2B commercial agenda. There will be a dual focus on maintaining established business in one country, but also developing/pioneering our sales of water-soluble products in the other countries. Next to that, you will:

  • Visit customers on a regular basis and prepare and follow-up on these meetings. Each of these meeting should be prepared within the framework of a predefined account plan (CRM), in which progress and opportunities will be monitored.

  • Deal with different type of customers including on-farm distributors, veterinary practices and poultry farmers.

  • Require defining and adjust pricing and positioning strategies according to frequent benchmarking with planned budgets and competitor products.

  • Work in close collaboration with the AHP sales representatives of other species within the same region but can also serve as a counterpart for poultry AHP sales representatives in the other (ECA) regions.

  • Support the development of new products and/or upgrade the composition of current products by incorporating i.e. customer, legal, performance and/or quality requirements into these product designs.

As part of the ‘Poultry Team Benelux’, you will be partly responsible for defining Trouw Nutrition’s poultry commercial agenda here, but also serve as a sparring partner in projects of other colleagues of that team. The team is based in the Netherlands and has a strong commercial focus on the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
 

What we ask

A colleague with a strong sense of personal accountability. We are looking for someone who builds value for the customer by investigation to uncover explicit needs, develop those needs and link those needs to our product solutions. You’re a team player with strong negotiation, presentation and cultural skills. Also, you have:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimal 5 years of experience in the agricultural/poultry industry in Northwestern Europe with a strong commercial background.

  • A willingness to travel internationally, depending on how you will progress in the development of new business.

  • You’re  fluent in Dutch, English and preferably German and/or French.
