Maintenance Technician Industrial - 2nd Shift

About The Role:
Searching for multi-trade maintenance technician that will be responsible for industrial machinery upkeep and preventative maintenance, working alone or with a crew. They must be well-rounded individuals who can perform efficient work on a variety of equipment, executing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor systems, air diaphragm and electric pumps and production machines. Capable of following diagrams, P&ID’s, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots malfunctions and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring tools.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and alignment equipment.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Welding, fabricating and knowledge of machining using manual machines such as a vertical mill, lathe, surface grinder a plus.
- Optimizes maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions, communicating irregularities, and scheduling correction of abnormalities.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Familiar with OSHA 1910 standards in manufacturing such as Hot Work, LOTO, PIT, Confined Space.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
- Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus
- Experience with Industrial maintenance required
- Thorough working knowledge of pumps, electric and pneumatic, valves, piping, hydraulics,
- Self-motivated, responsible and Safety Oriented individual.
- Learns and applies standard tools and techniques to solve problems.
- Problem Solving, looks for root cause of issues and breakdowns to eliminate repeat failures.
- Demonstrates a positive “can-do” attitude.
- Takes responsibility for self-performance (Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently).
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations.
- Must be willing to work overtime or off shifts when required
- Experience managing others is a plus
Industrial Maintenance Tech Skills and Qualifications:
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints, Mechanical and Electrical Prints. – Would be a plus
Technicians must be able to troubleshoot the following systems and processes while working the floor. (Mostly Allen Bradley Automation but not limited to)
- AC Drives

- PLC
- HMI
- Close loop control systems
- AC, DC, and Servo Motors
