Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain all equipment to required standards and respond to production needs and equipment failures.
- Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
- Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations. Candidate will be responsible for LOTOTO, issuing of work permits and supervision of contractors.
- Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
- Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
- Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
- Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
- Develop training material to train operators on how to efficiently operate equipment.
- Identify critical spare parts for equipment’s and ensure availability of the parts to reduce breakdowns.
- Investigate the Root cause of major breakdowns.
- Identifying and reporting potential asset care problems during inspections.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Qualification: Matric or equivalent/N3 with a Trade Test as a Millwright.
- Language: Strong proficiency in English and the local language.
- Professional Experience and Passion: At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Millwright in a production or manufacturing environment. Exposure to PLCs and AC drives is required. Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance skills in both mechanical and electrical areas are essential. Prepared to work overtime and do call-outs to meet production needs or address equipment failures.
