Skretting Aquaculture Innovation is strengthening it’s Global Formulation Team and is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Global Formulation Specialist to drive excellence and innovation in formulating aquatic diets. This key role involves developing and implementing optimized, cost-effective feed formulations for diverse aquatic species worldwide.

The successful candidate will apply technical expertise and leadership skills to foster collaboration and establish best practices across Skretting’s global formulation network. Acting as a bridge between global procurement, R&D and Innovation, and local formulation teams, the Global Formulation Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing formulation standards, supporting research initiatives, and advancing sustainable practices within Skretting’s operations.

You will report to the Global Formulation Manager, and be located at our headquarters in Stavanger, Norway. 

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as a global key user, supporting design and maintenance of the Skretting formulation Bestmix environment. Build trust and drive formulation excellence through collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Act as a primary technical resource for Operating Companies (Opco’s), and ensure we transfer formulation knowledge and best practices across our operations.

• Formulate trial diets to support fish and shrimp nutrition research studies and ensure close communication and collaboration with the R&D department.

• Connect global procurement with local formulation teams to assess new raw material opportunities, and partner with the sustainability team on eco-friendly formulation initiatives.

• Coordinate the global formulation network and organize formulators' meetings.

• Participate in formulation audits and cost-optimization exercises.

• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures within Skretting’s Quality Management System (1QM).

What we ask:

• MSc degree in Biology, Nutrition or similar area.

• Experience with Bestmix, or other formulation software.

• Knowledge of feed formulation principles, and a minimum of 2 years of experience from a role within the aquaculture or animal feed industry

• Experience in commercial formulation, research or product development is an advantage, but not a requirement.
