Trouw Nutrition is hiring a Bagger/Warehouse Worker in our Westlock, AB location. This position focuses on warehouse operations and bagging duties while also supporting various roles within the production team, including Pre-Mixer and Machine Operator. This position primarily provides relief and holiday coverage, ensuring all warehouse and bagging operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machines and computer systems to produce animal feed in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding production targets.
- Perform various tasks, including receiving and shipping ingredients and finished feeds.
- Maintain documentation for Food Safety and adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards
- Conduct quality checks and perform physical and NIR testing on ingredients and finished products.
- Assist in housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold company standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide relief and holiday coverage and be cross-trained for various roles within the team.
- Participate in cross-training to effectively perform various roles within the production team.
- Regularly participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a grain facility, mill, or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Class 5 driver’s license is an asset.
- Forklift and skid steer experience is an asset.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills with attention to detail.
Expectations from the Role:
- Full-time position with shift work rotation and overtime as required.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Ability to regularly bend, twist, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights and in various environmental conditions, including loud sounds and dust.
- Willingness to learn and be coached.
