We are excited to launch the Operational Program, a unique opportunity aimed at shaping the Plant Managers of the future at Nutreco. This 18-month program is designed to provide comprehensive training through three rotations of 6 months each, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in different areas and plants across Iberia. Through this program, you will develop a deep understanding of our operations, leadership, and technical capabilities, preparing you for a future leadership role within the company.

About The Role: Operational Program

Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning and Execution

o Manages the (operational) activities in the plant, within the applicable Nutreco standards and procedures.

o Coordinates production operations within a single plant that uses common production equipment, methods, and standards over multiple shifts.

  • Maintenance and repair (M&R)

o Oversees the mid and long term maintenance planning for the assigned area, including budgets

o Ensures that all maintenance activities (planned maintenance programmes, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) are planned and prioritized in order to prevent / rectify   break-downs and malfunctions and minimise business disruptions

  • Leadership and people management

o Provides leadership to his / her area in production and M&R (i.e. setting individual objectives, reviewing performance and providing ongoing feedback on a(n) (in)formal basis).

  • Reporting

o Develops and/or monitors the relevant KPI’s to maintain an insight in the performance of the OpCo in the assigned area against the set targets, and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Quality / HSE Compliance

o Assures that all activities and operations are executed in line with HSE / Quality rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promotes awareness thereof, including addressing anomalies to others.

  • Continuous improvement

o Identifies and implements improvements to the OpCo's systems, processes and practices in order to improve / optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).

  • At least 5 years experience, and 2-3 years of previous experience in production plants or production processes.

  • Experience in team management or leadership roles.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness and availability to relocate and travel across Iberia.
