An exciting opportunity has become available for an Indirect Tax Manager to join the Nutreco Group Tax Team at our Corporate Head Office in Amersfoort. In this high-impact role, you will take the lead on global indirect tax matters with a focus on managing indirect taxes across the EMEA region. Your strategic expertise and proactive approach will play a critical role in ensuring Nutreco’s tax compliance and efficiency whilst you actively seek out opportunities to optimize cash flow and enhance tax processes. 


Success in this position requires your ability to build strong relationships and bridge the gap between government regulations and operational practices. You will be recognized as a strategic advisor who not only provides insights but also implements effective solutions. Collaboration will be key as you partner with business leaders across Nutreco’s global Business Units to elevate tax awareness and support teams in fulfilling their indirect tax obligations. You will also spearhead the digitalization of complex tax processes, driving automation to improve operational efficiency and mitigate tax risks. Your contributions will shape Nutreco’s global tax strategy, leaving a lasting impact on our financial performance and operational excellence. 

About The Role: Driving Shaping the Future through Strategic Innovation 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide indirect tax advice, assist in tax audits, and enhance the internal control framework for indirect taxes. 
  • Proactively engage with business leaders to understand changes in operations and their impact on indirect taxes, ensuring compliance while identifying planning and cash flow optimization opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with tax colleagues and other corporate functions to identify, evaluate, and implement value-adding projects. 
  • Support Business Units and local management in executing their indirect tax obligations effectively in daily operations. 
  • Develop and implement suitable IT solutions for indirect processes, focusing on e-invoicing and ViDA, while driving the digitalization and automation of complex indirect tax streams. 


Qualifications:  

  • Master’s degree in (Indirect) Taxation from a recognized Dutch institution. 
  • Over 8 years of experience in national and international indirect tax environments. 
  • Current knowledge of (international) tax requirements and developments in indirect taxation, with experience in managing international projects. 
  • Strong technical expertise in VAT and a solid understanding of customs regulations. 
  • Experience in process automation and familiarity with VAT technology is a plus. 
  • Fluency in Dutch and English. 

 
A 32-36 hour workweek is also possible upon agreement.
