Head Office Controller
Job Description
Join Our Purpose - Feeding the Future
Nutreco is a member of the SHV family, and we are committed to 'Feeding the Future' through sustainable and innovative practices. Nutreco has two business lines: Skretting is a leading global provider of innovative aquafeed solutions, revolutionizing aquaculture for a sustainable future. Trouw Nutrition specializes in animal nutrition and is committed to advancing livestock health and productivity through cutting-edge solutions.
Nutreco’s Headquarters houses vital functions such as Finance, Legal, HR, and IT, which are integral to the company's global success. Our IT and Digital teams are leading Nutreco’s digital transformation, streamlining processes, and introducing new technologies across the business.
As Business Controller, you will provide financial leadership, insights and critical support to all of these departments, ensuring that our day-to-day operations and projects are financially sound and strategically aligned. Some of your key responsibilities will include supporting teams in developing value propositions, acting as a financial guide on projects, managing planning and reporting for the departments, and collaborating with other financial and business controllers to further integrate the financial processes of Nutreco’s head office departments.
About The Role
Responsibilities:
As a Head Office controller, you are the driving force behind all Corporate spend of Nutreco and you will be part of a high-performing Business Control team based in Amersfoort, NL.
You will act as a business partner to Nutreco’s senior stakeholders across different corporate functions, to ensure cost objectives are met. You will support and challenge these stakeholders around cost control, budgets and overall spend, while helping them answer any question around these topics.
You will lead month-end processes and ensure accurate financial accounting in collaboration with the shared service center.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s and/ or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related.
At least 5-6 years of experience in similar role and/or relevant financial or controlling background within a dynamic, global and matrixed business environment.

Strong senior stakeholder management experience – to support them in making strategic decisions by providing clear insights and analysis or challenge them whenever necessary.
Bilingual English and Dutch is required.
Expectation from Role:
In this role, it is key that you can convey crisp and insightful overviews of spend and can identify actions in case of overspend. You’re not afraid to hold people accountable for their budgets and (over)spend but can also constructively direct them in taking corrective actions.
In this team you will provide support, from a financial and controlling point of view on any specific projects undertaken in the Corporate Control team, such as zero-based budgeting or corporate reporting.
You will proactively challenge the business to continuously seek improvements in the management of corporate spend.
