Reporting to the Warehouse supervisor , this position is responsible to verify accurate recording of incoming and outgoing products - Maintain proper stock rotation as per standard operating procedure (SOP) - Completes inventory counts - Constant quality awareness - Ability to organise the warehouse and Housekeeping. Operation of automated bagging system in fast paced work environment. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible to verify accurate recording of incoming and outgoing products
  • Maintain proper stock rotation as per standard operating procedure (SOP)
  • Operation of automated bagging system in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to organise the warehouse and Housekeeping.
  • Make expected daily picking tonnages
  • Completes inventory counts
  • Constant quality awareness
  • Other duties as required

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent, 2-3 yrs. experience in a mill preferred
  • Strong leadership, judgement, problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment, and under tight deadlines
  • Able to lift 25kgs and fork lift experience
  • Must be passionate about your career!
  • Able to efficiently multi-task
  • A positive attitude
  • Collaboration, good organisational and communication skills (written and verbal), high learning capacity, high level of integrity and influencing skills, act like an owner / entrepreneurial, focus on continuous improvement, team oriented, show respect, be coach able.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Full-time; Shift Work Rotation; Overtime as required; Permanent; Unionized.
  • Ability to work shift work is a MUST.
  • Physical Requirements:  Ability to regularly bend and twist, open and close lids, climb ladders and work at heights, and lift 25 kgs. You will be repeatably picking up 200-400 bags daily 
  • Physical Work Conditions: Often exposed to loud sounds, distracting noise levels, and dusty environment.
