Job Description

Join Our Purpose - Feeding the Future

Nutreco is a member of the SHV family, and we are committed to 'Feeding the Future' through sustainable and innovative practices. Nutreco has two business lines: Skretting is a leading global provider of innovative aquafeed solutions, revolutionizing aquaculture for a sustainable future. Trouw Nutrition specializes in animal nutrition and is committed to advancing livestock health and productivity through cutting-edge solutions.

At Nutreco, sustainability is more than a priority—it is the core of our mission: Feeding the Future. Without a clear, credible sustainability agenda, there is no sustainable growth for our company or our planet. That’s where you come in.
As our Corporate Sustainability Manager, you will lead the charge in defining and executing sustainability strategies that drive measurable environmental and societal impact. From setting bold ambition levels and steering industry-leading initiatives to delivering transparent progress reports, your work will directly position Nutreco as a global leader in sustainable practices.
As a corporate Sustainability Manager, you’ll set the direction for Nutreco’s sustainability agenda, aligning with our Sustainability Roadmap and CSRD material topics. Leveraging your expertise and connection to stakeholders across the protein value chain, you will anticipate needs, create actionable plans, and inspire our teams to turn strategy into results.

About The Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and Implementation Sustainability Strategies: Lead the creation and execution of Nutreco's Sustainability Roadmap, setting clear targets and ambition levels for material topics aligned with CSRD and industry benchmarks.
  • Drive Regulatory Compliance: Ensure CSRD compliance by overseeing materiality assessments, defining strategic narratives, and delivering required metrics in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Achieve Tangible Impact: Partner with markets to implement sustainability plans that deliver measurable progress, positioning Nutreco as a leader in sustainable practices.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Collect, validate, and report quarterly metrics on energy, water, and waste, and publish Nutreco’s Impact Report to showcase achievements.
  • Strengthen Knowledge and Communication: Anticipate emerging sustainability trends in our industry; and maintain Nutreco’s website and external channels with up-to-date sustainability case studies and align messaging across SHV companies.
  • Build Stakeholder network: Engage with internal teams, external partners, and regulators to embed sustainability into Nutreco’s business practices and advance the protein value chain’s sustainability goals.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sustainability.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability issues in the agricultural sector and their integration into business strategy.
  • Expertise in CSRD requirements and sustainability reporting.
  • Proficient in lifecycle assessment (LCA) methodologies and sustainability analytical tools.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that create measurable business and societal value.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and inspire at all levels.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.

Expectation from Role:

  • Support the development of Nutreco’s updated Double Materiality Assessment.
  • Develop strategic roadmap to fill narrative reporting gaps under CSRD for Nutreco’s material topics.
  • Support content owners with the development of policies, targets and actions linked to Nutreco’s CSRD disclosure requirements.
  • Responsible for design of external and internal communications (CSRD report formatting, customer engagement plans, etc.).

Why You Will Love Working with Us:
At Nutreco, you join a mission-driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and growth. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading minds across diverse disciplines while making a meaningful contribution to feeding a growing global population sustainably.

Global Benefits:
