Job Description

Join us as a Senior Specialist and help us deliver innovative and sustainable nutritional solutions for aquaculture. 

Skretting AI is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Specialist within HPLC and spectrophotometry, to be an expert in analytical methods, leading the development and improvement of laboratory techniques and ensuring high-quality results at the Skretting AI laboratory.  

The role reports to the Team Lead NIR and is based at Skretting’s headquarters in Stavanger, Norway. 

What you’ll do: 

This role includes overall responsibility for critical measurement equipment, mentoring laboratory staff, providing training, and being responsible for complex analytical problem-solving.  
The position oversees method development and improvements, verification and validation of analytical equipment, measurement uncertainty, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance in line with ISO 17025 and regulatory requirements.  
Additional responsibilities include sample analyses when needed, creating and maintaining control charts, and maintaining accurate metadata in NutrecoLIMS. 
The specialist collaborates with internal teams, researchers, quality managers, and external partners. 

What you bring: 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least 5 years of experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. 

  • Desire to develop new skills and responsibilities 

  • Effective oral and writing skills in Norwegian and English at an academic level 

  • Strong competence in method development and continuous improvements 

  • Solid competence in statistical methods related to chemical analyses 

  • Experience with laboratory quality systems, preferably knowledge of ISO17025 

  • Strong IT skills
