What you’ll do

You’ll be responsible for delivering technical leadership for the Companion Animal(Pet) business, primarily in Southern Europe, while supporting customers with high‑quality nutritional expertise. Working closely with the Technical Nutrition Manager in the UK, you will ensure regional alignment, knowledge sharing, and technical consistency.

You’ll:

  • Review, optimise and approve formulations, ensuring compliance with pet food regulations, internal standards, and customer specifications.

  • Act as the technical sign‑off for new or adjusted formulas and regulatory/label checks.

  • Provide routine nutrition and formulation support to customers, partnering with Sales Managers to deliver value‑driven solutions.

  • Develop and support claim packs, technical proposals, and customer trials.

  • Collaborate with Quality and Production teams at the new Griñón plant to resolve technical issues and support process improvements.

  • Contribute to New Product Development and nutritional concepts for premixes and functional ingredient blends.

  • Deliver technical training, presentations, and knowledge sharing across internal teams and customers.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs and reporting to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is technically strong, customer‑focused, and ready to Own this role. Someone with a passion for pet nutrition, problem‑solving, and supporting commercial growth with credible technical insight.

This is a hands‑on role, so we need a team player who thrives on collaboration and enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders.

You’ll also need:

  • A university degree; MSc/PhD preferred (Animal Nutrition, Veterinary, Animal Science, Food Science or related).

  • 7+ years’ experience in pet nutrition, formulation, or the pet food/premix sector.

  • Strong knowledge of EU pet food regulations, labelling, claims and quality standards.

  • Experience in customer‑facing technical roles, ideally supporting sales or product development.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
