What you’ll do

Helping to support strategy development across production planning operations, you’ll be responsible for checking orders for accuracy, arranging production orders, and verifying stock levels and material requirements. You’ll also monitor production flows, coordinate with key departments, and maintain accurate planning data and systems.

Your detailed responsibilities include:

• Checking the orders to plan for accuracy, etc.

• If applicable, verify inventory levels of finished product and establish an optimal balance between customer and stock orders

• Arranging of the orders for production, taking into account specified delivery times, available machine capacity, changeover requirement, most efficient run sizes and sequences

• Calculate the required amounts of raw materials and semi-finished

• Verifying stock positions commodities and identifying shortfalls in procurement

• Compiling and releasing daily production orders, material issue vouchers and the like for the production department(s) and the raw materials warehouse

• Monitor the planning and production (daily) consult with production management about (potential) disruptions and possible corrective actions

• Consult with maintenance, engineering and product development with respect to time for (interim) maintenance, repair scheduling and trial productions

• Adapt and implement changes in the planning, and discuss the consequences of possible planning alternatives with the superior, production and sales

• Ensuring the functional application of the planning software

• Specifying functionality needs and requirements, and in collaboration with IT ensure the implementation of the required changes

• Tracking and processing changes in the data, such as customer specifications, product specifications, manufacturing standards, machine capacities, packing prescriptions, and the like.

Supporting with the development of commercial excellence initiatives, you’ll help to deliver insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to inform go-to-market strategies. You’ll also collaborate with key stakeholders to translate scientific developments into commercial solutions. 

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is responsible, accountable and ready to Own this role. Someone who is confident and credible, with the potential and ability to lead others and inspire respect through your actions. Some experience gained in Strategy, PMO, or Business Development roles within the animal nutrition industry is also preferred. 

You’ll also need:

• Proven experience in a similar production planning or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to balance customer demand, stock levels, machine capacity, and raw material availability.

• Solid understanding of production processes, inventory management, and procurement coordination.

• Experience with planning software/ERP systems, and the ability to ensure data accuracy and system functionality.

• A continuous improvement mindset, eager to optimize processes and contribute to commercial excellence initiative.
