Process Operator

Job Description

Why join us:

Own your development at Skretting, a Nutreco company. Focused on our purpose of Feeding the Future, we operate with trust and respect to create positive outcomes and transform lives.

Skretting Aquaculture Innovation is expanding its team with two hands-on and solution-oriented Process Operators Operators – one permanent position and one temporary position lasting until October 2027.
In this role, you will be a key contributor in our production of sample feeds and process trials, supporting continuous improvement and development at the Skretting AI Feed Technology Plant in Stavanger.

You will become part of a team of nine highly competent colleagues with extensive experience in specialized production. All operators work across the full range of tasks at the facility and report to the Manager at the Feed Technology Plant (FTP).

What you’ll do:

As a Process Operator at Skretting AI, you are responsible for producing top-quality feed, including:

  • Receiving and registering raw materials
  • Operating the blending department and handling recipes
  • Running mixers, mills, and sifting equipment
  • Operating and monitoring extruders and the drying line
  • Controlling processes and monitoring product quality from both the control room and the production floor
  • Performing coating, cooling, packaging, and storage processes
  • Collecting samples throughout production and conducting physical analyses
  • Running mechanical and manual processes on a small scale
  • Completing documentation before, during, and after the process
  • Performing physical laboratory tests
  • Carrying out other operational duties

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for individuals who have strong communication and collaborative skillset, excellent planning abilities and with a solution-oriented mindset. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment where you need to be systematic, precise, reliable and organized. You must always prioritize HSE, safety, and quality.

What you bring:

  • Certificate of apprenticeship in chemical processing, or relevant education (Technical College)
  • Experience with automated production processes and enjoys working in a team.
  • Technical knowledge
  • T1 – T4 forklift driver's license
  • Relevant experience within maintenance is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for success in this role
  • Professionally curious, engaged, responsible, and able to work independently.

What you’ll receive:

An exciting role within a leading company, both in Norway and globally. At Skretting AI, we place strong emphasis on employee well-being and offer extensive opportunities for professional development.

Our values – trust, inclusion, curiosity, integrity, and passion – are central to who we are and are clearly reflected in our culture and in the way we collaborate with customers, suppliers, and partners. You will have the opportunity to influence and actively contribute to the development of our professional environment within Skretting AI.
Through close collaboration across teams, you will develop a wide understanding of the organisation and receive valuable support from your colleagues. You will be part of a dynamic, informal, and positive working environment with a flat organizational structure and highly skilled co-workers.

Standard working hours are 07:00–15:00, with overtime or shift work if required.
