Location: Chilliwack

Hours: Full-Time. 40 hours per week. Rotating Shift.

What you’ll do

Feed Mill Operator plays a vital role in contributing to the production of high-quality livestock feed through the operations of bulk receiving, mixing, pelleting, and shipping activities at Chilliwack Mill. This position supports uninterrupted production operations by proactively identifying and resolving issues.

  • Operate production machinery and identify areas to optimize production performance

  • Ensure quality and food safety standards are met

  • Meet or exceed production targets, record data on production orders and activities

  • Execute small maintenance tasks and repair work on production equipment

  • Promote awareness of any unsafe situation and take appropriate action 

Who we’re looking for

  • 2 - 3 years manufacturing experience an asset

  • Good computer skills

  • Forklift certification preferred

  • Boiler certificate is preferred (at least Class 5)

  • Ability to work in rotational shifts. Rotating Weekly. Shift Time: 5.30 Am-2.00 Pm, 1.30 Pm-10.00 Pm, 09.30 Pm to 6.00 Am

You’ll also need

  • Ability & willingness to work shifts and overtime

  • Ability to lift 25 kgs regularly

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to focus on details within a fast-paced environment

  • Team player and coachable

  • Exposure to the elements, noise and dust, and working at heights

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer skills with attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
