Location: Okotoks, AB
Hours/Shift: 20 hours per week.

What you’ll do
 

  • The Retail Salesclerk supports daily retail operations, including assisting customers, processing sales transactions, receiving and merchandising products, and maintaining store standards

  • Support to warehouse activities and requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment

  • Assist with stock counts in the mill store and warehouse, including receiving, merchandising, and inventory organization

  • Provide in‑store and phone support to customers by answering inquiries and offering product information and recommendations

  • Support sales transactions, including processing purchases accurately and efficiently

  • Perform general duties such as housekeeping, customer service, and loading feed products

  • Deliver pleasant, professional, and high‑quality customer service always

  • Use MS Office applications, including Excel, to support store and administrative activities

  • Uphold and demonstrate Nutreco values of integrity, respect, teamwork, continuous improvement, and coachability

  • Possess, or be willing to develop, foundational animal health knowledge relevant to mill store products

Who we’re looking for
 

  • Availability to work any days between Monday and Sunday, including weekends and rotating shifts

  • Willingness to work a flexible rotating schedule, with occasional weekend or extended‑hour coverage as required

  • Equine knowledge and experience in the agricultural industry are considered assets

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 kg and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme cold

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license to support deliveries as required

  • Willingness to operate equipment such as a forklift or skid steer (training provided)

You’ll also need

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail in daily tasks

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient store and warehouse environment

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a willingness to learn and grow

  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Customer‑focused mindset with a strong service orientation

  • Comfortable handling feed and performing physically demanding tasks

  • Forklift experience is considered an asset
