Why join us

Get ready to Own your career as a Maintenance Technician at Trouw Nutrition, a Nutreco company. As global leaders in animal nutrition and aquafeed, our shared purpose of Feeding the Future is making a positive global impact for generations to come. Join us in this impactful role and help deliver the production of feed, in a sustainable way to a growing population. Own your direction, Own your development and Own your path.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll own it by taking end-to-end responsibility for keeping our plant running—performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and making safe, lasting repairs to mechanical and electrical systems across production, utilities, and facilities. You’ll partner with Operations and Engineering to prioritize work, support installations and continuous improvement, and use the CMMS to plan, document, and follow through on work orders and parts. Above all, you’ll protect people, product, and the environment by working to Nutreco standards and by acting quickly and thoughtfully to reduce downtime and prevent repeat issues.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a hands-on, safety-first Maintenance Technician who brings solid industrial maintenance experience and the curiosity to troubleshoot problems to root cause. You’re comfortable working across mechanical and electrical systems—conveyors, bagging and material-handling equipment, motors and drives, compressors, HVAC and utilities—and you can read plans, use test instruments, and make precise adjustments. You’re organized and reliable with preventive maintenance and documentation in a CMMS, communicate clearly with operators and leaders, and are willing to support off-shift, on-call, or weekend work as needed to keep the plant running.

You’ll also need

  • Industrial maintenance background: High school diploma/GED plus 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Mechanical maintenance capability: Blueprint reading; machine installation/alignment/leveling; mechanical diagnostics; rigging; lubrication practices; and repair of pumps, gear drives, bearings, seals, gaskets, and drive systems.

  • Electrical & controls troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and repair single- and three-phase motors, low-voltage switchgear, and solid-state components using appropriate test instruments.

  • Safety, systems thinking & teamwork: Safety-first approach aligned to environmental requirements; clear written/verbal communication; strong computer skills (Word/Excel/email) and CMMS use; forklift certification/operation; and willingness to support off-hours/on-call/weekends as needed.

What you’ll receive

As part of Nutreco, you’ll be a member of the SHV family, a diverse group of companies with global footprint. Join us and you’ll gain access to a wide network of expertise and global career paths. You’ll also benefit from the backing of one of the world’s largest privately owned businesses, known for its stability and long-term focus.

In addition, you’ll receive:

  • Competitive health benefits – Medical/Dental/Vision/HSA/FSA

  • Disability and Life insurance

  • 401K Matching

  • Paid Parental Leave and Tuition Reimbursement

  • Paid Time Off

  • Annual bonus
