Our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) organisation is structured across Global, Regional and Local levels. For the Europe Central Asia (ECA) region, we are looking for a senior HSE leader to support and coordinate HSE efforts across 10 countries. The role is responsible for driving our Zero Harm culture, ensuring that HSE delivery aligns with industry standards and Nutreco’s global guidelines, and that policies and improvement initiatives are effectively implemented across the region.

While there is no direct line management of local HSE teams, the position plays a critical influencing role in guiding and driving effective regional HSE implementation. Success depends on strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead behavioural and cultural change across diverse operating environments.

What you’ll do

  • Drive awareness, consistency and compliance of HSE policies, standards and programs across the ECA region

  • Lead the regional rollout of HSE initiatives, ensuring practical and effective implementation at local level

  • Develop regional yearly HSE plans, objectives and budgets, and ensure execution following approval

  • Strengthen safety culture by driving behavioural change programs and proactive risk awareness

  • Advise, support and challenge local management teams on complex HSE topics, incidents and improvement actions

  • Work closely with the Global HSE organisation to ensure alignment, governance and continuous improvement

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a seasoned HSE professional who is responsible, credible and ready to Own this role in a complex regional environment. You are comfortable influencing at senior level and navigating multi‑country, multi‑stakeholder settings.

You’ll also bring:

  • A degree in HSE, Engineering or a related discipline

  • 10+ years of HSE experience, including several years in a regional / global, multi‑site environment

  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver initiatives effectively and optimise resources

  • Strong expertise in areas such as ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, operational risk and behavioural safety

  • The ability to lead through influence rather than hierarchy and work effectively in a matrix organisation

  • Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
