Job Description

The role is based at Skretting’s headquarters in Stavanger, Norway. The work will take place in our innovative and radical Research Centre, the Skretting Bubble. 

  

What you’ll do 

  • You will work at the heart of our biotech operations, supporting research & development of new products as well as advancing knowledge about aquatic animal health. 

  • Conduct analytical tests within R&D projects and support assessment of research results 

  • Perform in vitro molecular biological (real-time PCR, microarray), biochemical, and cell culture assays 

  • Support the implementation, development and validation of new bioassays 

  • Record data, observations and conclusions accurately in relevant systems 

  • Carry out calibration, first‑line maintenance and care of laboratory equipment 

  • Propose improvements to quality, efficiency and laboratory processes 

What you bring: 

  • Holding a master’s degree in molecular biology /biochemistry/cellular biology/biotechnology/biomedicine 

  • Experience from a R&D laboratory environment 

  • Experience with real-time PCR analyses  

  • Experience in cell culture  

  • Experience in experiment design and statistics is advantageous 

  • Willingness to take responsibility and speak up when quality is at stake
