What you’ll do
Ensure that all finished feed is properly sampled and inspected, with complete and accurate log and food safety documentation maintained at all times. Maintain a high level of quality awareness by verifying that all bags are complete, correctly tagged, and that the appropriate lot numbers are selected according to order requirements and the sampling process. Ensure that bag weights and run sizes meet specified standards while consistently maintaining good housekeeping practices. Adhere strictly to company safety and food safety protocols, and ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and in accordance with their specified requirements.
Who we’re looking for
Experience working in a feed mill or manufacturing environment is preferred. The candidate must be able and available to work rotational shifts and overtime as required, while demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. They should be capable of working effectively within a team while also being self-motivated and able to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 kg, with frequent bending and twisting, and may occasionally involve working at heights, as well as opening and closing lids. The work environment often includes exposure to loud noise levels and dusty conditions. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required, and forklift training or driving experience is considered an asset.
