Partnership Data & Value Creation Manager

Job Description

Why join us

Skretting Aquaculture Innovation (AI) is looking for a curious and business-oriented Partnership Data & Value Creation Manager to join our Salmon Innovation Team. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we use data from strategic customer partnerships to improve fish performance, support better farming decisions, and develop new services for the aquaculture industry.

Working at the intersection of aquaculture, customer needs, R&D, and digital development, you will translate complex opportunities into clear priorities and scalable solutions. A key part of the role will be to ensure that our collaboration with strategic partners creates measurable value for both companies and establishes a strong foundation for future customer partnerships.

The position reports to the Innovation Director Salmon and is part of the Salmon Innovation Team, based at Skretting’s headquarters in Stavanger, Norway.

Purpose of the role

To drive business growth and innovation through strategic customer data partnerships by transforming aquaculture data into scalable solutions that improve customer outcomes and strengthen Skretting AI’s competitive position.

Key tasks and responsibilities

As part of the Salmon Innovation Team, you will:

  • Lead data-driven innovation within strategic customer partnerships

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities that create value for both customers and Skretting.

  • Translate customer challenges and biological insights into clear requirements for R&D and Digital teams.

  • Guide the development and improvement of growth, fish-quality, and other decision-support models.

  • Explore new applications of health-monitoring and production data.

  • Develop business cases, value propositions, and success measures for selected initiatives.

  • Coordinate cross-functional projects from opportunity identification through development and implementation.

  • Document outcomes and establish approaches that can be scaled to other customers and partnerships.

  • Contribute to an open, collaborative, and knowledge-sharing culture within the Innovation Team.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who combines a strong understanding of aquaculture and fish biology with commercial thinking and sufficient digital insight to shape effective development priorities.

You understand the realities of fish farming and can identify where data and digital solutions can make a meaningful difference. You do not need to be a software developer or data scientist, but you must be able to work effectively with technical specialists, challenge proposed solutions and provide clear directions.

You are comfortable working across organizational boundaries and building relationships with customers, researchers, digital teams, and commercial stakeholders. You think strategically while remaining hands-on, structured, and focused on delivering tangible outcomes.

Most importantly, you are curious, collaborative, and motivated by turning complex data and partnership opportunities into practical business value.

What you bring

  • A Master’s degree in aquaculture, biology, fish health, data science, business, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience from aquaculture, innovation, business development, digital product development, or customer partnerships.

  • A strong understanding of salmon production, fish biology, and the operational needs of farmers.

  • Experience working with biological models, production data, digital solutions, or analytical services.

  • The ability to translate customer and business needs into clear development requirements.

  • Strong business understanding and experience developing business cases or value propositions.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects involving customers and internal specialists.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; additional languages are an advantage.

What we offer

Working at Skretting AI means being part of an international organization with strong development opportunities. Our values, Trust, Inclusivity, Integrity, Passion, and Curiosity, are central to our culture.

In this role, you will work close to the core of our business and contribute to shaping how Skretting AI creates value from strategic customer partnerships. You will gain exposure to leading aquaculture companies, advanced production datasets, biological research, and digital development.

We offer challenging and meaningful work, competitive terms, a strong pension and insurance scheme, and a highly innovative and inclusive working environment. We actively support sports, health, and cultural activities and value diversity of nationality, age, and professional background. Some international travel should be expected.
