Social Media Strategy Intern

Job Description

At Nutreco, we believe that feeding a growing world population calls for farming that is both productive and sustainable. That’s why we go beyond nutrition, combining expert advice, innovation, and a strong commitment to our planet to help our customers produce more food, responsibly.
Through our business lines: Skretting (aquaculture) and Trouw Nutrition (livestock and pets), we deliver practical, science-based nutritional solutions, feed additives, and best-in-class advice and technology that support sustainable farming from feed to food.
Guided by our purpose, Feeding the Future, we’re building a better food system every day. As part of SHV, a family-owned international group, we share a long-term view and the courage to care for our customers, our communities, and generations to come.
About the role:
Are you passionate about social media and skilled at creating content that stands out, especially on LinkedIn? Nutreco is looking for a Social Media Strategy Intern to help strengthen our brand presence, with a strong focus on LinkedIn. In this hands-on internship, you’ll help shape our online voice, create engaging and data-driven content, and support the development of strategic campaigns. Experience using and creating content on LinkedIn is a key requirement for this internship. If you’re creative, a natural storyteller, data-curious and comfortable using performance metrics to refine content strategy, and excited to collaborate across teams to bring content strategies to life, we’d love to hear from you!

You will:

  • Support and maintain a cohesive social media strategy on LinkedIn, focused on driving measurable engagement
  • Create, manage, and publish original, high-quality content across LinkedIn and other key platforms
  • Track, analyse, and interpret key performance indicators (e.g., reach, engagement, click-through rate), using insights to guide content and strategy decisions
  • Deliver clear, structured weekly and monthly reports with recommendations for improvement
  • Manage all company social media accounts (internal and external), ensuring content is relevant, timely, and aligned with brand messaging
  • Actively engage with our audience by responding to comments and questions, helping to build meaningful interactions

Skills and Qualifications

  • You are a student currently pursuing a master’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
  • Hands-on experience using social media to build B2B brand awareness
  • Ability to identify target audiences’ preferences and produce tailored content
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to work with data dashboards and translate insights into action
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

There are also some compulsory requirements:

  • Be enrolled as a Bachelors/master’s student during the whole internship period.
  • Ideally available to start in March 2026 for a minimum of 5 months, 4 days per week.
  • You are fluent in English - spoken and written.
  • You can work from our office in Amersfoort, at least 2 days in a week.

What We Offer:
As a Social Media Strategy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in both content strategy and performance analytics, working closely with a diverse global communications team in an international environment. This is a paid internship, and you will also receive a travel allowance for the days you travel to the office in Amersfoort.
Next Steps:
We value a seamless candidate's experience and would like to respond within five (5) business days. This hiring process is expected to take 2-3 weeks.
