The business is supported by an international, diverse Legal and Ethics & Compliance (E&C) team. As Lead Counsel, you are responsible for managing legal risks and the E&C program, and supporting management of your assigned international Business Unit(s). The role reports to the Director Legal and E&C.

What you’ll do

  • Provide high‑quality, pragmatic legal and E&C support to your assigned international Business Unit(s) to manage risks and protect the company’s reputation.

  • Enable the business to handle routine matters independently through smart guidance, templates, digital tools and self‑service solutions.

  • Manage outside counsel to ensure efficient, cost‑effective legal support.

  • Drive continuous improvement by contributing to the development and implementation of legal and E&C policies, procedures, templates and systems.

  • Deliver impactful legal and E&C training, conduct risk assessments and support internal investigations when needed.

  • You may also contribute to M&A projects.

Who we’re looking for

  • A law degree with at least 7 years of experience in an international business environment.

  • Strong knowledge of contract, competition and basic corporate law; familiarity with food law is considered a plus.

  • Strong experience in drafting (international) agreements; experience in M&A and delivering training are assets.

  • An excellent communicator able to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Pragmatic, independent within clear frameworks, results‑driven and experienced in using legal technology, including CLM systems.

  • Affinity with E&C and motivation to grow in this area.

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
