The Poultry Senior Technical Advisor collaborates with the formulation and commercial teams to optimize customer service, update products, and provide technical nutrition support. The role focuses on delivering value through training, client visits, and seamless coordination to meet customer needs effectively.
About The Role
Responsibilities:
Technical responsibility for poultry formulation
• Implement and oversee nutritional criteria and formulation for poultry clients, ensuring personalized services for clients and managing formulation-related tasks.
• Collaborate with Masterlab on raw material and feed analysis, coordinate NutriOpt tools' implementation, and support client results through nutrition improvements.
Product development to support poultry teams and market demands:
• Develop products (e.g., premixes, additives, poultry feeds) aligned with market needs, set quality standards, prepare product specifications, and conduct field validations.
• Monitor program performance and support different teams.
Prepare technical documentation and deliver presentations on market innovations:
• Draft technical information proactively or upon request, in collaboration with the species marketing manager.
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Commercial departments to provide technical input for media presence, magazines, symposiums, etc, and translate research and practical experiences into nutrition programs.
Responsible for training commercial teams in the poultry species:
• Establish training programs for both Trouw and Nanta.
• Develop specific training programs for various poultry-related areas.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in animal science, agronomy, biology, or similar.
• 5 years of experience in animal production and nutrition, with at least 3 years specifically in poultry and knowledge of formulation.
• Advanced English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, or databases.
• Willingness to travel 40% of the time within Iberia.
