Indirect Tax Manager

Job Description

Get ready to Own your career as an Indirect Tax Manager at Nutreco. As global leaders in animal nutrition and aquafeed, our shared purpose of Feeding the Future is making a positive global impact for generations to come. Join us in this impactful role and help deliver the production of feed, in a sustainable way to a growing population.

Own your direction, Own your development and Own your path.

What you’ll do

  • You will take full ownership of Nutreco’s global indirect tax agenda, acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across regions while translating complex regulations into practical, value adding solutions.

  • With a proactive, hands-on mindset, you will drive the monitoring, implementation, and continuous improvement of indirect tax processes worldwide—working closely with tax, finance, IT, and the business to embed compliance into end-to-end operations and systems.

  • You will lead opportunities to streamline and automate processes, support tax audits, and enable the successful rollout of E -Invoicing and reporting requirements, taking accountability for outcomes and making a tangible impact on how indirect tax is managed globally.

Who we’re looking for

  • We’re looking for an experienced, confident indirect tax professional who takes ownership, thinks globally, and acts decisively.

  • You bring a master’s degree in taxation or business economics, along with at least eight years of experience in an international indirect tax environment, either inhouse or with a Big 4 firm.

  • You have a strong grasp of global indirect tax regulations, enjoy working at the intersection of tax, finance, IT, and the business, and are energized by improving processes through automation and technology.

  • Fluent in English, you’re collaborative, pragmatic, and proactive—someone who doesn’t just advise, but owns outcomes, drives change, and is comfortable operating across borders and cultures.

You’ll also need

  • A problem-solving and delivery mindset: Able to assess complex, ambiguous indirect tax challenges, prioritize effectively, and move from analysis to execution—balancing risk, compliance, and business impact.

  • Change leadership capabilities across systems and processes: Comfortable leading change in global, matrixed environments, influencing stakeholders to adopt new ways of working, particularly where tax requirements intersect with ERP systems, automation, and digital reporting.

  • To be a resilient, accountable owner: Demonstrates sound judgment under pressure, takes responsibility for outcomes during audits and regulatory change, and consistently follows through—owning decisions, results, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll receive

As part of Nutreco, you’ll join a united global community driven by the purpose of Feeding the Future. You’ll work within an international, diverse global tax team that values collaboration, development, and impact. You’ll experience a supportive culture, a flexible working environment, and opportunities for professional growth.

You’ll also receive:

  • A competitive remuneration package

  • A good pension scheme

  • 30 vacation days + flexibility

  • A hybrid working environment with the option to work from home several days per week

  • Opportunities for learning, development, and global career paths within Nutreco.
