Are you passionate about safeguarding the health and well-being of fish populations and advancing our understanding of aquatic animal health? Skretting Aquaculture Innovation is currently looking for a Researcher in aquatic animal health with an innovative mindset and sound collaborative skills for a long-term, temporary assignment.

As a Researcher in Fish Health, you'll have the opportunity to conduct innovative research, address pressing challenges in aquatic animal health, and contribute to the sustainability of aquaculture and be a key player in the development of novel solutions for optimizing fish/shrimp health for our fast growing aquafeed operations world-wide.
What are your key accountabilities
Planning, coordination and execution of research studies related to aquatic animal health
Development and implementation of novel technologies to assess aquatic animal health
Provide technical support on fish/shrimp issues to our operating companies
Management of collaborative projects with internal and external partners
Communication of results and findings to our key stakeholders; assist in implementation of innovations
What we ask
PhD or equivalent in fish nutrition or fish health biology/veterinary science (or MSc with minimum 3 years relevant experience)
Background from research or commercial farming of fish is an advantage
Experience from laboratory work, diagnostics and field sampling will be valued
Competence of experimental design of fish/shrimp trials and proficiency in statistics.
Network of scientific partners is an advantage

High proficiency in English is a requirement.
